Dandeli is a city in the Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka. It houses the second largest wildife sanctuary in Karnataka and it was announced to be a part of Project save the tiger in 2007.

This Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 834.16 sq km is home to the rare black panther, the spotted deer, barking deer and many others. Wild deciduous forests surround the wildlife sanctuary on all the sides. Coracle boat rides and trekking can also be enjoyed.

Kavala Caves :
