Kumbhalgarh in a glance :
Kumbhalgarh is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur of Rajasthan state. It is a World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Here are a few places to visit in Kumbhalgarh.
Kumbhalgarh Fort :
This stupendous structure has a 36 km long wall protecting the settlement from various battles. This wall is the second longest continuous wall in the world, after the Great Wall of China.
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary :
This huge sanctuary is sprawled all around the massive fortress. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 578 square km including parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur and Pali districts.
Mahadev Temple :
This temple is right below the Kumbhalgarh Fort. It had four huge slabs with inscriptions on them, but these have been transferred to the Udaipur museum.
