Madhyamaheshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to god Shiva, located in the Mansion village of Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand and is a part of Rudraprayag district. How to Reach Madhyamaheshwar:

By Air :

As Madhyamaheshwar doesnt have a airport on its own ,passengers can follow this route. first arrive at Jolly Grant  airport in Dehradun which is 222 km away from Ukhimath. And from there, One can take a taxi from the airport to Ukhimath from where tourists have to go Unaina. Further,  travellers cover a trekking route of more than 21 km to reach Madhyamaheshwar Temple.

By Rail :

Haridwar is the nearest railhead which is located at a distance of 204 km from Ukhimath. From there, taxi and buses services are available to reach Ukhimath and from there One must have to go Unaina to start the trek in order to reach the temple.

By Road :

Several buses and taxi services are available from Delhi to Haridwar and Dehradun, from where one can change the bus or take a cab to Ukhimath, one has to then go to Unaina from where the trek to Madhyamaheshwar begins.

Situated 2kms from Madhyamaheshwar, this holy shrine is a cluster of rocks. However, the journey to this place quite captivating with picturesque views of various peaks can be seen from here such as Kedarnath, Neelkanth, Trishul, Kamet and Panchachuli over a small lake.

Kanchani tal is 16 kms farther away from Madhyamaheshwar, which can again be reached by a trek. However, the trek to this place is deemed to be quite difficult, so do visit only if you are prepared.

Perched over an elevation of 3490 m above the sea level, the trek to this temple is quite a task. However, it is not without fruit. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is considered to be one of the oldest religious places in India.
