By Air :

The nearest airport is at Mangalore. Cabs are available from the airport.

By Rail :

Madikeri does not have its own railway station and the nearest are at Hassan, kasaragod, Cannanore and Tellicherry, each of them around 115 km away.

By Road :

Madikeri is well connected by road as it lies on the State Highway itself and can be easily accessed by road.

What to Eat in Madikeri:

Local cuisine consists of non vegetarian delicacies, accompanied by fragrant rice known as Sannakki almost define the cuisine of the area. At the same time, an equally flattering variety is available for vegetarians as well as typical Indian food. Pork is a true delicacy in the area and multiple prep and multiple preparations and versions of the same can be enjoyed. One can also try Aaki Oti (a chapatti made of rice), Kadambatru (rice balls), Nool Puttu (a type of Rice Noodles) and Baimbake curry.
