The trains on this route resemble toy trains that awaken the inner child within you. 96 km long, this route started in 1903 and runs through 102 tunnels and 82 bridges and has been awarded a world record by the Guinness World Record Book for the sharpest elevation in altitude by 96 km. During the 5 hours that you will travel in this beautiful train, you will pass by the scenic beauty that will surprise you. Everything from pines, oaks, valleys, and forests of Deodar, Rhodendron and a route up to Shimla will blow you away with its beauty. All this and more awaits you on this ride which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Toy Train on this route offered by Indian Railways is a treat to the eye. It may be a relatively slower way to get to Shimla from Kalka, but the train route is possibly more picturesque than the destinations themselves.
Vasco Da Gama to Londa
