Lady Canning’s Seat to Dolphin’s Nose is the place where tourists can Trek. Lamb’s Rock, about 5½ km from Coonoor, is another viewpoint. Since, Droog Fort is found a distance of 13 km from Coonoor and was once employed by Tipu Sultan within the 18th century. Since, Law’s Falls may be a waterfall located 5 km from Coonoor, on the thanks to Mettupalayam.
Pomological Station may be a research facility of the State Agricultural Department for persimmon, pomegranates and apricot. In 1907, Pasteur Institute was started . Therefore, this institute develops vaccination for rabies. Satellite Silkworm Breeding Station of Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute-Mysuru are silk worming breed stations besides government silk farm at Springfield. Recently, Floriculture and strawberry cultivation have taken root.
