Itinerary
Day 1:- Dehradun to Dhaula
- Altitude 5,500 ft
- 220 km drive by NH 507 – approx 10 hours
- Pickup from Dehradun railway station at 6:30 am, in a Tata Sumo or a similar vehicle
- Breakfast and lunch excluded, dinner included
- Last ATM- Purola
- No networks are available
- Night stay in a tent
Day2:- Dhaula to Sewa
- Altitude 6,300 ft
- 9 km trek, 5 Hrs
- Moderate level of ascent
- Mobile network available only BSNL
- Water available on the way
- Hot lunch at campsite
- Visit the village temple in the evening beautify with medals and coins
- Stay in tents
Day3:- Sewa to Bawta
- Altitude 6,888 ft
- 6 km trek, 4 Hrs
- Moderate level of the walk for the first 3 hrs and steep ascent for rest 1 hr
- Wooden bridge on the way, which is the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh
- Water points are available till Raj Gad
- After Raj Gad trail is steep ascent till Bawta
- Most of the trek is in the deep dark forest
- Hot lunch at the camp site
- Stay in a home stay
Day4:- Bawta to Jakha
- Altitude 8,700 ft
- 5 km trek, 4 Hrs
- Difficult level of ascent, steep climb
- Moderate ascent till Jiskun then descent till wooden bridge through the forest and then zig-zag ascent till Jakha
- Highest and the last village of Rupin pass trek
- Selwan Khad is the last water point
- Tea and Maggi shops are on the way
- BSNL network is available
- Hot lunch at campsite
- Stay in homestay
Day5:- Jakha to Dandreyash Thatch
- Altitude 11,680 ft
- 11 km trek, 8 Hrs
- An easy but long walk
- Most of the walk is along with the river
- Can refill water bottles from the river
- Enjoy the snow bridges and wildflowers
- Trail surrounded by Silver birches (Bhoj trees), Rhododendrons (white, pink, purple)
- Packed lunch will be given
- Stay in a tent
Day6:- Dandreyash Thatch to Upper Waterfall
- Altitude 13,120 ft
- 3.5 km trek, 3.5 Hrs
- Can refill water from small streams
- Most scenic day of the trek
- Moderate level of ascent, continuously tricky climbing trail around the snow patches
- Avoid getting on the snow patch directly
- Meet the technical team they will give you important tips for the summit day
- Hot lunch at the camp site
Day7:- Upper Waterfall to Ronti Gad, cross Rupin Pass
- Altitude 13,420 ft
- 9 km Trek, 10 Hrs
- Difficult Level of ascent. A longest and most exciting day of the trek
- Steep ascent till the pass and then steep descend
- 200 meters of very steep ascent known as Rupin Gully, just before the pass, give a pass to porters and guides, let them go ahead
- Leave the camp site by 4:30 am
- Carry enough hot water from the campsite, Water sources are limited
- Packed lunch will be given
- Reached Ronti gad late in the evening
Day8:- Ronit gad to Sangla & Drive to Shimla
- Altitude 8,800 ft
- 12 km trek, 8 Hrs
- 9-10hrs drive to Shimla
- Moderate level of descent, continuously descent till Sangla
- Many water taps on the way
- Reach Sangla 1-2 pm
- Cab leaves from Sangla at 3 pm and reached Shimla by 1 am (please make your hotel booking at Shimla accordingly)
