Overview

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. It is one of the seven union territories of India. The island population is an interesting mix of south Indian and Southeast Asian settlers.

Port Blair is the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Island. It serves as the entry point for visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Port Blair is connected with mainland India by both air and sea. The most common language here is Bengali followed by Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The town of Port Blair has a tropical Monsoon climate with rainfall throughout the year. The Indian Navy, the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Air force have all set base in the town of Port Blair. You can enjoy shopping in Port Blair at the Aberdeen Bazaar which is the centre of the town. Most of the restaurants and hotels are around this area. The main bus station is just west of the bazaar and the Port Blair Airport 4 Kms. to the south west.

Itinerary

Day 1:- Arrive at Port Blair: Arrive at Port Blair in the morning by flight or ship and then you will be sent the hotel. Post lunch, enjoy swimming, sun-basking & bathing at Corbyn’s cove beach, a coconut palm fringed beach which is 9km from Port blair. In the evening, attend the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail - where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive. Later, enjoy the local cuisine at hotel and over night stay. Day 2: Port blair- City tour:- Post breakfast, start for a full-day tour of places in & around Port Blair. Visit the famous Cellular Jail, Saw Mill which is one of the oldest & largest in Asia, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries (Marine) Museum and Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika). After lunch, enjoy the Jet-ski ride, Speed boat ride, Banana ride, Sofa ride, Bumper boar ride, Paddle boat etc at the Andaman Water Sports Complex. In the evening, pick souvenirs and fill your bags at Cottage Industries Emporium (Sagarika). enjoy the local cusine and over night stay at hotel. Day 3: Coral Island and Ross Island:- after breakfast, get ready for a full-day Excursion by Public Ferry to North Bay (Coral Island). enjoy the mesmerising view of coral reefs, exotic varieties of beautiful ornamental fishes and other marine life. Also enjoy activities like Snorkelling, Glass bottom boat ride, Swimming, Trekking. Enjoy a nature walk amidst sylvan surroundings with deer’s, peacocks, exotic birds, etc. at Ross Island from where the Britishers' governed the entire A&N islands, prior to India’s Independence. Note: If Ross + coral island is not operational guest will be taken to Chidiyatapu or Wandoor beach. Day 4: Journey back to India:- Transfer to Airport/Harbour for return flight/voyage.
